BASIC SERVICES OF ARCHITECT/ENGINEER Clause Samples
The "Basic Services of Architect/Engineer" clause defines the fundamental duties and responsibilities that the architect or engineer is contractually obligated to perform for a project. These services typically include tasks such as project planning, design development, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration. For example, the architect or engineer may be required to create detailed drawings, coordinate with consultants, and oversee the project to ensure compliance with design intent. The core function of this clause is to clearly outline the scope of work expected from the design professional, thereby preventing misunderstandings and ensuring that both parties have a shared understanding of the essential services to be provided.
