AVN 99 Clause Samples
The AVN 99 clause is an aviation insurance endorsement that excludes coverage for losses arising from war, hijacking, and other similar perils. In practice, this clause is commonly attached to aviation insurance policies to clarify that incidents such as acts of war, terrorism, or unlawful seizure of aircraft are not covered under the standard policy terms. Its core function is to allocate risk by removing insurer liability for high-risk, extraordinary events, thereby ensuring clarity for both insurers and insured parties regarding the scope of coverage.
