AV SYSTEM. 3.6.1 AUDIO 1. The audio system for the Classroom, Learning Space, Computer Lab, and Meeting Room type spaces will perform two key functions: a) Playback of multimedia material from various sources. b) Processing from microphones (only in Classroom 30-­‐seats) 2. The AV playback system will use two wall speakers at display wall. 3. The AV playback system will use ceiling-­‐mounted speakers for sound reinforcement (only in Classroom 30-­‐seats). 3.6.2 DISPLAYS 1. The Classroom, Learning Space, and Computer Lab type space will have one projection screen located at the front wall. 2. All projection screens will be 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio depending on the source. The size of the screens will depend on room size and distance to the most distant viewer. 3. The Meeting type space will have a wall mounted monitor. 4. Displays need to be of adequate size to enable all participants to clearly see the content on the screen. Screen size is a function of room size and dimensions: a) Ratio of the distance from the displays to the most distant viewer (MDV) to image height will not exceed a factor of 6.7 (distance to most distant viewer, MDV, divided by a single image height) for all seats.
