Automatic Salary Increase. ‌ Whenever the date of approval for a classification study by the respective governing board is greater than two years from the date Human Resources notified the requesting party of approval to conduct the classification study, and when the final recommendation results in reclassifying an incumbent(s) to a job classification with a higher salary range, the incumbent shall automatically be entitled to receive a base hourly rate of pay five percent (5%) higher than that to which the employee is entitled under the Article 7.7 – Salary Upon Promotion, but which does not exceed the top salary step of the scale.
