Common use of Authority Granted Clause in Contracts

Authority Granted. The City hereby grants to Franchisee, subject to the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement, the right, privilege and authority to utilize City’s Public Ways for construction and operation of its Communications System and to acquire, construct, operate, maintain, replace, use, install, remove, repair, reconstruct, inspect, sell, lease, transfer, or to otherwise utilize in any lawful manner, all necessary equipment and facilities thereto for its Communications System, and to provide Communications Service.
