Common use of Augmentation Clause in Contracts

Augmentation. All requests for an addition or change to an existing collocation arrangement that has been inspected and turned over to the CLEC is considered an augmentation. An augmentation request will require the submission of a complete application form and a non-refundable Engineering or Minor Augment fee. A Minor Augment fee may not be required under the circumstances outlined below. The definition of a major or minor augment is as follows: 3.5.1 Major Augments are those requests that: (a) require AC or DC power; (b) add equipment that generates more BTUs of heat, or (c) increase the caged floor space over what Pathnet requested in its original application. A complete application and Engineering Fee will be required when submitting a caged or cageless request that requires a Major Augment. 3.5.2 Minor Augments of caged and cageless collocation arrangements will require the submission of a complete application form and the Minor Augment Fee.
