Common use of Asynchronous Learning Clause in Contracts

Asynchronous Learning. On Wednesday, elementary teachers will have a thirty (30) minute synchronous check-in with their students and thirty (30) minutes of office hours. Middle school teachers will have a thirty (30) minute synchronous check-in with their home room students and thirty (30) minutes of office hours. High school teachers will have one (1) hour of office hours. On Wednesdays, teachers will provide students with asynchronous learning (video or other learning activities). Per the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, bargaining unit members will be provided sixty (60) minutes for PLC’s and have thirty (30) minutes of District-directed time. The remainder of the bargaining unit members work day will be self-directed for preparation of asynchronous content, a thirty (30) minute duty-free lunch, and other preparation as needed.
