Common use of Assistant Engineer Clause in Contracts

Assistant Engineer. There must be a fireman or assistant engineer on all cranes, Drill Rigs (Hanging, track mounted gantry drills, and excavator attachment type), CMI or similar equipment, backhoes, skimmer scoops, clamshells, draglines, shovels, locomotive cranes, caterpillar cranes, pile drivers, derricks, dual drum paver, ditching machine (24" or over), portable rock crushers and gravel processing machines. An assistant engineer need not be employed on cranes, clamshells or draglines when used for batching materials on work covered by this Agreement. Assistant engineers need not be employed on all Rough Terrain Hydraulic Cranes (cherry picker) type machines and ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Cranes under ninety-one thousand (91,000) pounds gross vehicle weight, Boom Trucks, and hydraulic truck cranes forty-five tons lifting capacity or under that have a remote driver kit installed, and further they need not be employed on crawler cranes forty-five
