Assistance for Highly Qualified. 3 The Auburn School District will assist current Special Education 4 employees and long-term substitutes, in an open position, who need 5 to complete steps to be recognized as Highly Qualified. The ASD will 6 pay for any test that an employee or long-term substitute, in an 7 open position, must take to be recognized as Highly Qualified. The 8 Auburn School District will also arrange for tutors at the request 9 of employees or long-term substitutes, in an open position, who need 10 assistance preparing for such tests. The Auburn School District will 11 notify the Auburn Education Association of the names of employees or 12 long-term substitute, in an open position, who receive any of this 13 assistance. 15 f. IEP Compensation 18 they shall be paid one and one-half (1½) hours of per diem pay for 19 each finalized IEP beginning with the twenty-seventh (27) completed 20 IEP, provided the IEP is completed in a timely fashion. 22 If a special education staff is assigned to write, monitor, 23 evaluate, and manage the IEP and program for a student who is 24 assigned to a non-certificated special education teacher or long- 25 term substitute, that special education staff member shall receive 26 one and one-half (1½) hours of per diem pay for the student’s 27 finalized IEP/managing the student’s program, provided the IEP is 28 completed in a timely fashion. IEPs for which a teacher is 29 compensated under this agreement shall not count towards the twenty- 30 five (26) IEP trigger for additional pay set forth above. 32 Documentation for IEPs completed during the school year must be 33 submitted to the Student Services Office on a monthly basis.
