Assigned Days. All clerical employees will work collaboratively with their supervisors to determine their work year calendar per Article VII, Section 1, Subd 1. Any exchange of the assigned days must be approved in advance by the building principal or designated administrator and communicated with the district office for record keeping purposes.

Assigned Days off 10.1 (2002) Establishing of days off: List “A” regular employees, who occupy a flexible position, will have established days off, if the same days off have been scheduled every work week over a period of six (6) consecutive months. 10.2 (1992) Non-consecutive days-off may only be assigned by mutual agreement between the Director of Human Resources, and the Local Chairperson. 10.3 There shall be no change in the assigned days off of an employee for the purpose of avoiding overtime. 10.4 (2002) Following the posting of the work week schedule, should a regular employee request a change in established days off which is approved by his/her scheduling supervisor, then a regular employee shall be permitted to work up to a maximum of ten (10) consecutive days without incurring overtime and to minimize any loss of regular hours of work due to such requested change in days off. 10.5 (2002) Should the Company be unable to schedule a regular shift to a regular employee whose name appears on List “A” in a regular work week, said regular employee will have the following options: (a) Accept the loss of regular shift(s), or (b) a thirty-six (36) hour written notice will be given to the scheduling supervisor before the start of the work week (Friday) on one (1) of the following options: (i) may request to have his/her days off changed in accordance with the provisions contained in the collective agreement; or (ii) may request to replace said unassigned regular shift, by an unassigned vacation day or a banked statutory holiday and by indicating that he/she is available or is not holding himself/herself accessible for work, without the proper notification, should additional shift(s) become available. Should his/her request be granted and said employee had indicated that he/she is not available or is un-accessible, he/she shall not be entitled to grieve the loss of additional hours of work which may become available following the posting of the weekly schedule.   • Non-Business Days If an Interest Period would otherwise end on a day which is not a Business Day, that Interest Period will instead end on the next Business Day in that calendar month (if there is one) or the preceding Business Day (if there is not).
