ARTICLE UNIFORMS. The EMPLOYER shall furnish and pay for four perma-pressed shirts, winter or summer type, per year to each regular full-time employee. In addition to the above, the EMPLOYER shall furnish and pay for the following equipment for regular full-time employees: One summer hat and one winter hat; One jacket. Two pairs of winter trousers and two pairs of summer trousers; Two black ties. Such uniforms shall remain the property of the EMPLOYER and shall be replaced as needed. The EMPLOYER shall direct when ties shall be All uniforms, including shirts, are items to be replaced on an exchange basis only, one for one, as required. Three times annually, on dates mutually agreeable between the EMPLOYER and the ASSOCIATION, the EMPLOYER shall post a list of of runs describing in general terms the areas to be served, the nature of work to be performed, the starting times, approximate duration and the estimated crew complements for each of the blocks. After such runs are posted for a minimum of one week, the senior eighty percent of the regular full-time employees shall, in order of their overall seniority, be offered an opportunity to bid for assignment to the of runs set up by the EMPLOYER. In the event an employee fails to bid at the time the opportunity is offered, he may bid thereafter, but only from the vacancies available at the time the employee so bids. If an employee fails bid prior to the date the new assignments are made, such employee will be consi- dered a pool employee. In the event some of these employees elect not to bid, the right to bid shall be extended to other regular full-time truck employees in order of seniority until a maximum of eighty percent of the regular full-time truck employees have bid for assignment. It shall be the employee's responsibility to advise the EMPLOYER in of their run selections should they be absent during the selection period. On the first week of the months following the completion of the bids, employees shall be assigned to the new blocks on which they have bid. Employees who bid for such blocks must be qualified to perform all duties required in the classification in which they bid. Regular full-time employees who are not eligible to bid, those regu- lar full-time employees who are eligible to bid but do not elect to do so, and part-time employees shall compose a pool of unbid employees. On Thursday of the week preceding, the EMPLOYER shall post a weekly schedule for the regular full-time employees assigned to the pool. Such employees shall be assigned in order of their seniority to the greatest scheduled earnings opportunity among the vacancies on the days such employees are scheduled to work. Vacan- cies that occur after the schedule is posted shall be filled at the EMPLOYER's discretion from pool employees regardless of seniority. Employees assigned to the pool shall be classified as guards and shall be paid at the wage rate applicable the classification to which they are assigned to work.

ARTICLE UNIFORMS. The EMPLOYER Employer shall furnish supply adequate overalls, smocks, rubber gloves, rubber boots, aprons, hair nets and pay for four perma-pressed shirtsrequired head coverings where needed, winter or summer typeand all such overalls, per year to each regular full-time employee. In addition to the abovesmocks, the EMPLOYER shall furnish rubber gloves, rub- ber boots, aprons, hair nets and pay for the following equipment for regular full-time employees: One summer hat and one winter hat; One jacket. Two pairs of winter trousers and two pairs of summer trousers; Two black ties. Such uniforms required head cov- erings shall remain the property of the EMPLOYER Employer. The Employer shall be responsible for repairing and laundering overalls, smocks, rubber gloves, rubber boots, aprons, hair nets and required head coverings supplied by him. Such clothing remains the property of the Employer and except with per- mission, shall not be removed from the Employer’s premises. The first issue of new rubber boots will be charged out at cost and further issues at no cost on exchange. Regular freezer employees shall receive forty cents per hour extra, effective February and forty-five cents per hour extra ef- fective February for all time worked in the freezer, as a clothing allowance. Occasional freezer employees may use clothing supplied by the Em- ployer and shall receive no clothing allowance. Regular freezer employees could be replaced defined as those spending ten (10) hours or more per week in the freezer. The clothing allowance will be added to the freezer employee’s regular rate of pay for purposes of calculating his overtime rate. In order to prevent injury, maintenance employees shall be supplied with safety boots and hard hats at no cost to the employee. Night Watchman, Delivery Truck Driver, and Truck Drivers will be supplied with comfortable insulated suits and suitable gloves as needed, at no cost to the drivers, or Watchman. Insofar as the Employer has agreed to supply em- ployees, at no cost to the employees, cutting knives and steel mesh gloves for use in various areas of the plant, any employee who is going to be absent from work for reason for a period longer than days shall be responsible for the return of such items to a designated management person for the use by other employees, except where mutual ar- rangements have been otherwise made by the em- ployee and management.
