Common use of ARTICLE MEAL ALLOWANCES Clause in Contracts

ARTICLE MEAL ALLOWANCES. The Commission shall pay a meal allowance of ten dollars ($10.00) after an employee has completed two (2) hours but less than three (3) hours overtime work. The time required to consume such food shall not be considered part of the overtime period. If the overtime work of an employee exceeds three (3) hours, the employee shall be allowed one-half hour to consume such food and such time shall be considered part of the overtime worked; and thereafter a meal allowance of ten dollars ($10.00)effective April shall be granted for each completed four (4) hours of overtime on the same basis. During emergency overtime the Commission shall pay a meal allowance as in article when an employee has started and completed four (4) hours overtime work and every four hours thereafter. If a shift employee who is called out to replace an employee is not given at least two (2) hours notice to report for work under this clause, the employee called out shall receive a meal allowance. This paragraph shall apply to Operators, Troublemen and Mechanics.
