ARTICLE 1 - PURPOSE. The general purpose of this Agreement is to establish mutually satisfactory employment and maintain collective bargaining relations as set out herein between the Employer and the nurses Nurses covered by this Agreement, and to provide for an on-going means of communication between the Association and the Employer, and to promote the prompt disposition of grievances, the efficient operation of the Employer's business, and to establish and maintain mutually satisfactory salaries, hours of work, and working conditions for all nurses who are subject to the provisions of this Agreement.

ARTICLE 1 - PURPOSE.
