Arbitration and adjudication. The indemnity provided by the ‘Civil liability’ clause includes liability which you may incur in respect of any claim (including claimants' legal costs and expenses) first made against you during the period of insurance, as a result of your negligence or any consultant, sub- contractor or agent for whose acts, errors or omissions the insured is legally liable resulting in: a) any decision by an adjudicator appointed to resolve a dispute in accordance with the Scheme for Construction Contracts, as contained in the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (formerly Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996) or an adjudication clause or rules contained in a contract; or b) any award by an arbitrator or tribunal of arbitrators (whether under the Surveyors and Valuers Arbitration Scheme 1998 or otherwise).
