Appropriate Work Area Clause Samples

The 'Appropriate Work Area' clause defines the requirement for providing a suitable and safe workspace for individuals performing their duties under an agreement. This clause typically outlines standards for cleanliness, safety, accessibility, and necessary equipment or facilities, ensuring that the work environment meets legal and practical expectations. Its core function is to protect the health and productivity of workers by mandating that employers or contracting parties maintain a work area that supports efficient and safe job performance.
Appropriate Work Area. All certificated support staff (i.e., consulting teachers, MLL teachers, SAGE teachers, OTs, PTs, SLPs, psychologists, counselors, and nurses) will be assigned a work area that is appropriate for the responsibilities outlined in their respective job descriptions in each building in which they serve students. This area will be clean and ready for use at all regularly scheduled times. When conflicts cannot be avoided, the administrator will notify the involved staff member(s) in advance and will make every effort to arrange for an alternative work area during that time.
