Common use of Applicable Law, Venue and Jurisdiction Clause in Contracts

Applicable Law, Venue and Jurisdiction. This Contract shall be construed under and in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, with jurisdiction in the courts of the State of Texas and venue in Galveston, County regardless of where the obligations of the parties were performed. By execution of this Contract, the parties agree to subject themselves to the jurisdiction of the Courts of the State of Texas in all matters relating to or arising out of this Contract or the Work. By entering into this Contract, Company acknowledges that City is entering into this contract in its governmental capacity, and not a proprietary capacity.
