AND LOCKOUTS. There shall be no strikes or lockouts (as defined in the Canada Labour Code and accompanying regulations) during the life of this Agreement. Where an employee expresses a concern for their safety in attempting to cross a picket- line on the Employer’s premises, the Employer will ensure a safe access to the workplace. If employees are prevented from performing their duties because of a strike or lock-out on the premises of a federal, provincial, municipal, commercial or industrial Employer, the employees shall report the matter to the Employer, and the Employer will make every reasonable effort to ensure that such employees are employed elsewhere, so that they shall receive their regular pay and benefits to which they would normally be entitled.
