The 'AND HUMAN RIGHTS' clause establishes a commitment by the parties to uphold and respect fundamental human rights throughout the duration of their agreement or activities. In practice, this clause may require parties to ensure that their operations, supply chains, and business practices do not contribute to human rights abuses, such as forced labor or discrimination. Its core function is to promote ethical conduct and legal compliance, thereby reducing the risk of complicity in human rights violations and enhancing the reputation and accountability of the parties involved.

AND HUMAN RIGHTS. Citizens can expect from the agreement that both Armenia and the EU pay increased attention to the cornerstones of democracy, including free and fair elections, to the right to fair trial and to the respect of human rights more generally. The agreement sets up an independent Civil Society Platform composed of Armenian and EU organisations, which will monitor the implementation of the agreement and may make recommendations to the Armenian authorities and to the EU.

a) Both the Corporation and the Union recognize their respective responsibilities under legisla- tion impacting health and safety and applicable standards, rules and guidelines. As parties con- cerned about the health and safety of all employ- ees, the Corporation agrees to maintain and post a Health and Safety Policy in the workplace. The Corporation agrees it will comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act in effect as of the signing of the Collective Agreement as it pertains to the worker’s right to refuse unsafe work and the training to be provided to the cer- tified worker. All Health and Safety Committee members shall be paid consistent with the applicablelegislation. The parties will notify each other in writing of the respective names of its representativeson the Committee. Both the Corporation and the Union recognize their respective responsibilitiesunder the Ontario Human Rights Code and any other similar statutory require- ments. Accordingly, the Corporation agrees to post an anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policy in the workplace. The Corporation will maintain the current Discrimination and Harassment the Workplace pol- icy dated October, as a minimum standard. During the term of this Agreement the Corpora- tion agrees not to lock out its employees and the Union agrees that it will not sanction or call a work stoppage as defined in the Ontario Labour Relations Act. The Corporation and the Union further agree that they will not involve any employee of the Corpo- ration in any dispute which may arise between any employer and the employee of such other employer.
