Ambulances. When ordering an Ambulance, the Resource Order must specify whether ordering a Type 1 Advanced Life Support (ALS), Type 3 Intermediate Life Support (ILS), or Type 3 Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance. The license level of staffing must match the equipment ordered.

Ambulances. ­ All Ambulances shall meet the following specifications:
Ambulances. The Contractor shall maintain, and provide to the County annually, the complete listing of all Ambulances (including reserve Ambulances) used in the performance of the Agreement, including their license and vehicle identification numbers, and mileage. The minimum number of Ambulances supplied for the fleet in the County shall equal at least 130 percent of peak load staffing requirements proposed by the Contractor. The specific intent of this provision is that Contractor has adequate reserve Ambulances to service the County. If reserve Ambulances are to be part of a combined fleet, Contractor must document how the minimum reserve capacity requirement will be met.
Ambulances. The following new language shall be added to Section 5.2.5 of the Agreement: City may consider exceptions to the 250,000 miles of service limit due to the occurrence of extraordinary events including, but not limited to manufacturer recall or defect, large scale events or disasters, and ambulance manufacturer delays. All such exceptions must be approved by City’s EMS Program Manager.
Ambulances. 1. Advanced life support ambulances provided by the contractor for this agreement shall be Type I or III style ambulances. All ambulances provided by the contractor for this agreement will meet or exceed the State of NH Bureau of EMS requirements for transport ambulances pursuant to Saf-C5900 or any future licensing requirements. Staffing levels shall be as specified in this agreement.
Ambulances a. Monday through Saturday three (3) dedicated primary front- line ambulance vehicles with staff during the day, three (3) during the night, one (1) swing shift. and a minimum of two reserve ambulances. A swing shift is not available on Sundays. All ambulances shall be available for 911 calls pursuant totheir designation and need.
Ambulances. SEMSA shall provide all ambulances, as well as other vehicles and equipment that are necessary for the provision of services required. SEMSA shall have sufficient vehicles to provide the level of service proposed, including ambulances, supervisor’s vehicles, and any other necessary vehicle.

Ambulances. When a Member requires non-emergency basic life support (BLS) or non- emergency advanced life support (ALS), an ambulance must be used for transportation. All BLS or ALS ambulance transports shall require a Medical Needs Form from the Member’s healthcare provider prior to authorization by the Broker. See the Indiana ambulance provider handbook for the necessary program policy regarding ambulance services. The level of services rendered by a Transportation Provider with an ambulance must meet the Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission’s (EMSC) definition of ALS for care given during transport, including but not limited to the following types of care: defibrillation, endotracheal intubation, parenteral injection of appropriate medications, electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation, and emergency management of trauma and illness. ALS services are covered only when the level of service is medically necessary, and basic life support (BLS) services are not appropriate for ambulance transport due to the medical conditions of the Member being transported. The Broker shall retroactively pay ambulance services in accordance with the provider agreement for FFS Members transported to a covered medical service as a result of a 911 call when all of the following conditions are met:

New or replacement ambulances shall meet the equivalentstandards at the time the ambulance is placed into service. None of the four ambulances set aside to respondto Emergency Response calls under this Agreement shall exceed 350,000 miles.Each failure to adhere to the requirements of this partshall constitute Major non-compliance.
Ambulances. The base rates (BLS, ALS, CCT), and oxygen, if applicable, are billable only once for the entire round trip. Mileage shall be paid for the round trip.
