Common use of Alternative Design Clause in Contracts

Alternative Design. 6.14.1 The School District may request an alternative design (“Alternative Design”) when strict compliance is not feasible. The Director may approve an Alternative Design to satisfy any requirement of the City Code and/or of this Agreement if the design meets the following standards: 6.14.1.1 The proposed Alternative Design is in general conformity with the intent of the regulation in question; and 6.14.1.2 The proposed Alternative Design will have no significant adverse impact on the health, safety, or general welfare of surrounding property owners or the general public, or such impacts will be substantially mitigated.
