ALLOWABLE NOISE LEVELS. A. Unless otherwise indicated, the maximum permissible noise levels for a complete piece of mechanical equipment located within or outside a structure shall not exceed 85 dBA at 3 feet. A complete piece of equipment includes the driver and driven equipment plus any intermediate couplings, gears, and auxiliaries. B. Comply with applicable sound limit consistent with City approvals and maximum permissible environment noise level of 70 dBA for the surrounding industrial district.
