Airstrip. PWD is funded through the Government budget process for maintenance of airstrips. Two sources of revenue related to airstrip maintenance are derived from regular air services: (i) a departure tax; and (ii) a landing charge based on aircraft weight. The total revenue collected from these two sources is sufficient for maintenance of the airstrip.

Airstrip. Zebula has an Unregistered Private Airstrip, but Zebula welcomes any fellow aviator who applies with prior permission to visit family and friends at Zebula. The Owners enjoy a tranquil lifestyle in a beautiful bushveld environment. The reduction of noise, especially in this bushveld environment, is an important criterion for all Owners, guests, golfers, visitors, staff etc. This private airstrip is subject to the Civil Aviation Authority of South Africa’s laws and regulations governed thereby. As a PRIVATE UNREGISTERED airfield all PILOTS in command flying in and out of this airfield must assess the safety regulation directed by the Civil Aviation Authority of South Africa and take full responsibility for all his/her actions. The Controlling Bodies will not be held responsible for any damages, death or any occurrence of loss associated with the operation of airplanes / helicopters / gyrocopters / micro lite airplanes or any similar aircraft on or near the private airstrip/field. For purposes of using the private airstrip for commercial purposes each pilot will have to complete and sign the Zebula Aerodrome/Airstrip Indemnity Form available from ZCC, the commercial Company. In general, the following rules, which may not reflect the complete list, will apply:
Airstrip. The airstrip surface has been checked for branches, wire, potholes, rabbit holes, and damage from stock, cowpats and other surface irregularity. The grass is short. All stock has been removed for at least 14 days prior to airstrip use. The strip has been checked by driving over it at 80 km/h. (Remember to allow enough time to stop). Flight Paths: The flight path is clear of fences, wires and trees etc. A "NO" answer requires attention before the airstrip is used. Airstrip Check List.

  • Dewatering 4.7.1 Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, all non- trades employees shall assist in ‘dewatering’ their own work site or area if it is so affected.   • Stormwater Notwithstanding any other provisions or terms of this Agreement, Company acknowledges that certain properties within the Premises or on Authority-owned land are subject to stormwater rules and regulations. Company agrees to observe and abide by such stormwater rules and regulations as may be applicable to the Premises, and, if applicable, Company hereby expressly covenants, warrants, and represents to Authority, in connection with Company’s operations on the Premises, the following:
