Agentive Transitives. Cyclic agreement in agentive transitives happens in a similar way with some differences. The first difference is that there is no applicative phrase in agentive transitive sentences. Therefore we assume that v head is responsible for the agreement. The second difference is related to the order of the cycles. In applica- tive constructions, first cycle would start with checking the specifier; whereas, in agentive transitive constructions this priority belongs to the DO which sits on a complement position as opposed to the subject which occupies the specifier of vP. It should also be noted that VP does not block the agreement between v head and theme, while it does so in Appl-theme agreement.
