AGENCY’s DESIGNEE Clause Samples

The "AGENCY’s DESIGNEE" clause defines the authority of a person or entity appointed by the agency to act on its behalf in matters related to the contract. This clause typically specifies that the designee has the power to make decisions, give approvals, or communicate instructions as if they were the agency itself. For example, the designee might oversee project deliverables, approve invoices, or handle day-to-day communications with the contractor. The core function of this clause is to ensure efficient contract administration by allowing the agency to delegate responsibilities, thereby streamlining processes and clarifying who has decision-making authority.
