Advanced Certificate. Within thirty (30) working days of approval from the Berkeley Police Department Professional Standards Division of an Officers’ eligibility for a Peace Officers Standards and Training Advanced Certificate, the employee shall receive a two percent (2%) differential to base salary and such payment shall be reported to CalPERS as Peace Officers Standards and Training Certificate Pay as a form of Educational Pay.
Advanced Certificate. Employees shall receive ten percent (10%) of base pay for earning a POST Advanced Certificate. The POST Certificate pays do not stack. An employee who receives Advanced Certificate Pay of ten percent (10%) no longer receives the five percent (5%) for the Intermediate Certificate. The parties agree, to the extent permitted by law, the compensation in this section is special compensation and shall be reported as such pursuant to Title 2 CCR, Section 571(a)(2) Peace Officer Standard Training (POST) Certificate Pay.
Advanced Certificate. B. For newly eligible Police Officers, Educational Incentive Pay shall commence with the first complete pay period concurrent with or immediately following the date the awarding institution or issuing agency dates the degree or certificate.
Advanced Certificate. Except that the reduced maintenance requirement provisions contained in Article 1516, Section 1516.1(b)(1) and (2) shall apply where the requisite criteria is met by the employee.
Advanced Certificate. All employees shall be paid the sum of sixty dollars ($60) per pay periodone hundred thirty dollars ($130) per month upon attainment of an Advanced Certificate, certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Standards and Education.

After successful completion and presentation of a Peace Officers Standards and Training Advanced Certificate, the employee shall receive a two percent (2%) differential to base salary and such payment shall be reported to CalPERS as Peace Officers Standards and Training Certificate Pay as a form of Educational Pay.
Advanced Certificate. C. Each full schedule level on the standardized salary schedule represents a two and one-half percent (2.5%) increase over the previous level. Therefore, each five percent (5%) incentive shall be in the form of two (2) full schedule levels (i.e., Schedule 51D to 53D).
Advanced Certificate. Each full-time employee who possesses an Advanced Certificate from the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training shall receive, in addition to his/her regular monthly salary, a total of three and one half percent (3.5%) on the employee's base wage.
Advanced Certificate. For newly eligible Police Officers, Educational Incentive Pay shall commence with the first complete pay period concurrent with or immediately following the date the awarding institution or issuing agency dates the degree or certificate. The City shall review educational incentive pay in the Established Labor Market Agencies in effect on July 15 of 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Based on this review and consistent with methods historically used by the City to make periodic adjustments to the educational incentive pay rate, the City shall make an adjustment, if any, to the educational incentive pay amount effective with the first pay period beginning in September following the survey date. The City's intent is to maintain the educational incentive pay amount at a level generally equivalent to the market average (arithmetic mean) of educational incentive pay amounts paid by the Established Labor Market Agencies.
