Common use of Administrative Term Clause in Contracts

Administrative Term. The Agreement shall have an Administrative Term that runs from the Substantial Completion Date through the earlier of the following: (i) the Final Completion Date; or (ii) the date the A/E executes and submits a Final release of Liens and Claims in the form and format required by the Contracting Officer. The Administrative Term is established for the sole purpose of permitting the District’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer to process payments in the event any payments become due. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing herein shall be construed to: extend the Project Schedule or deliverable due dates; extend the Substantial Completion Date; extend the Final Completion Date; and, limit the Department’s ability to assess liquidated damages thereon.
