1.4.1.2. Aluminium honeycomb certification and simulator characterization

Adhesive a. The permit front is designed to adhere to the inside of a vehicle’s windshield for correct image readability from the outside. The adhesive (typically 1.0 to 1.1 mil.) must adhere to the windshield in cold temperatures (-30 to -40 degrees below zero Fahrenheit) and hot temperatures (250 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit). The adhesive must not damage any plastic coatings on the inside of windshields.
b. Minnesota State Parks permit holders must be able to remove the permit from the windshield once the permit has expired. 2 mil. clear polyester film (such as Mylar®) (not dry seal or GMX) coated with a permanent, pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive and backed with a translucent (glassine) release liner. A substrate such as Flexcon Flexmark® PM 200 Clear TC-249 V-23 60 PF Glassine works well.
