Common use of Additional Insured Status and Scope of Coverage Clause in Contracts

Additional Insured Status and Scope of Coverage. The County of Los Angeles, its Special Districts, Elected Officials, Officers, Agents, Employees and Volunteers (collectively County and its Agents) shall be provided additional insured status under Contractor’s General Liability policy with respect to liability arising out of Contractor’s ongoing and completed operations performed on behalf of County. County and its Agents additional insured status and their entitlement to insurance benefits including defense of suits, shall apply with respect to any claims or proceedings asserting any liability arising out of Contractor’s acts or omissions, whether such liability is attributable in whole or in part to Contractor or to County. The full policy limits and scope of protection also shall apply to County and its Agents as an additional insured, even if they exceed County’s minimum Required Insurance specifications herein. Use of an automatic additional insured endorsement form is acceptable provided it satisfies the Required Insurance provisions herein.
