Accommodation Fees and Deposit. 3.1. You will pay the fees on the following instalment dates at the Income Office, Finance Department in advance, either in 1 or 3 instalments. ADVANCE PAYMENT: £450 payment to be made in advance (made up of £150 refundable deposit and £300 advance payment on the first instalment of 40%) Payment to be made by the date specified on your Contractual Agreement (offer of accommodation) Payment to be made via the Income Office, Finance Department. 1st Instalment: Approximately 40% of total amount due as invoiced Home/UK students paying by any method other than Direct Debit – Friday 29th September 2017 International students paying by any method and Home/UK students paying by Direct Debit – Friday 13th October 2017 Postgraduate students paying by any method - Friday 27th October 2017 2nd Instalment: Approximately 40% of total amount due as invoiced All students - Friday 12th January 2018 3rd Instalment: Approximately 20% of total amount due as invoiced All students - Friday 20th April 2018 Non-standard letting periods may be different – please refer to your invoice 3.2. Individual invoices are sent out via your University e-mail account detailing the amount payable and the due dates for payment. The University reserves the right to add a late payment fee (5% of the outstanding balance or a minimum of £25) to fees that have not been paid by the due date, to cover reasonable administrative expenses and loss of interest on amounts unpaid. 3.3. Students whose course start date is other than at the beginning of the academic year in September (including International Study Centre students) may have different payment dates and instalment amounts. Specific details will be included on your offer of accommodation. The first payment must be made within 7 days of moving into the accommodation. 3.4. You agree that you remain liable for the charges in full if, having accepted the accommodation offer, you fail to move into the accommodation; vacate it before the end of the occupancy period, are absent from the accommodation for any period of time or if the agreement is terminated by us in accordance with clause 12.1, except for 12.1.1, 21.1.3 and 12.1.4.
