A Sheet Metal Apprentice. where capable, shall not be required to work under the supervision of a Journeyman / HVAC Mechanic provided the apprentice is in contact by contractor supplied radio or contractor supplied cell phone with a Journeyman. It shall be a violation of this agreement for an employer to lay off a Journeyman Serviceman / HVAC Mechanic and replace with an Apprentice.
