2Allowances Clause Samples

The 'Allowances' clause defines specific amounts or provisions set aside within a contract for certain items or services whose exact details or costs are not yet determined. In practice, this clause allows the parties to allocate a budget for materials, fixtures, or work that will be selected or specified at a later stage, such as choosing tile or appliances in a construction project. Its core function is to provide flexibility and clarity in budgeting for uncertain elements, helping to prevent disputes and ensure that both parties have a shared understanding of provisional costs.
2Allowances. Allowances shall mean the allowance amounts shown in the GMP Supporting Documents, together with such further allowances as may be developed by the parties as the Project progresses.
