Separate Business definition

Separate Business means each of the activities of the Licensee connected
Separate Business means each of the Distribution, Supply, Second Tier Supply and Generation Businesses taken separately from one another and from any other business of the Licensee, but so that where all or any part of such business is carried on by an affiliate or related undertaking of the Licensee such part of the business as is carried on by that affiliate or related undertaking shall be consolidated with any other such business of the Licensee (and of any other affiliate or related undertaking) so as to form a single Separate Business.
Separate Business means any business or businesses of the Licensee, whether carried out directly or by an affiliate or related undertaking of the Licensee, other than the Transmission System Operation Business;

Examples of Separate Business in a sentence

  • The Licensee shall procure that no Separate Business gives any cross-subsidy to, or receives any cross-subsidy from, any other business of the Licensee or of an affiliate or related undertaking of the Licensee (whether or not a Separate Business).

  • The remaining paragraphs of this Condition apply for the purpose of ensuring that the Licensee (and any affiliate or related undertaking of the Licensee) maintains accounting and reporting arrangements which enable separate accounts to be prepared for each Separate Business and showing the financial affairs of each such Separate Business.

  • References in this Condition to costs or liabilities of, or reasonably attributable to, any Separate Business shall be construed as excluding taxation, capital liabilities which do not relate principally to a particular Separate Business, and interest thereon; and references to any accounting statement shall be construed accordingly.

  • The Licensee shall keep proper books of account and records in such a form that the revenues and costs, assets and liabilities of, or reasonably attributable to, each Separate Business are separately identifiable in the books of the Licensee from those of any other business.

  • References in this Condition to costs or liabilities of, or reasonably attributable to, any Separate Business shall be construed as excluding taxation, capital liabilities which do not relate principally to a particular Separate Business, and interest thereon, and references to any accounting statement shall be construed accordingly.
