Releasors definition
Releasors shall refer, jointly and severally, and individually and collectively, to Plaintiffs, the Settlement Class Members, and to each of their predecessors, successors, heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns of each of the foregoing, and anyone claiming by, through, or on behalf of them.
Releasors means jointly and severally, individually and collectively, the Plaintiffs and the Settlement Class Members, on behalf of themselves and any Person or entity claiming by or through them as a parent, subsidiary, affiliate, predecessor, successor, shareholder, partner, director, owner of any kind, agent, principal, employee, contractor, attorney, heir, executor, administrator, insurer, devisee, assignee or representative of any kind.

For the avoidance of doubt, it is understood and agreed that the Releasors do not release, discharge or acquit the Releasees from the obligations specifically set forth in this Agreement and the other Loan Documents and nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to constitute a release of or otherwise apply to or a covenant not to sue in respect of any Claims arising after the date hereof.
Parent, Seller and the other Releasors hereby expressly waive the benefits of Section 1542 of the Civil Code of the State of California and any rights that Parent, Seller or any other Releasor may have thereunder.

Releasors shall refer to End-Payor Plaintiffs Class Representatives and the Settlement Class Members, as defined in Paragraph 14, below, and to their past and present officers, directors, supervisors, employees, agents, stockholders, members, attorneys, servants, representatives, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, principals, partners, insurers and all other persons, partnerships or corporations with whom any of the former have been, or are now, affiliated, and the predecessors, successors, heirs, executors, administrators and assigns of any of the foregoing.

The inclusion of a specific reference to a type of entity in this definition shall not be construed as meaning that the entity is not a Subdivision. Each Settling State’s Attorney General represents that he or she has or has obtained (or will obtain no later than the Initial Participation Date) the authority set forth in Section X.G. In addition to being a Releasor as provided herein, a Participating Subdivision shall also provide the Subdivision Settlement Participation Form referenced in Section VII providing for a release to the fullest extent of the Participating Subdivision’s authority.
