Major Release definition

Major Release means a major update or upgrade to the Software, which includes significant enhancements and/or a major redesign of the Software, identified by Bosch by a change to the first digit in the release number (e.g. change from version 2.0 to 3.0).
Major Release means a Product release which may deliver significant new features, enhancements to existing features, or performance improvements, as well as Error corrections. Major Releases incorporate all applicable Fixes made in prior Major Releases, Minor Releases, and Maintenance Releases.
Major Release a Release of the Software that is designated by Us as such in accordance with our then-current naming convention (e.g. Major Release 3 -> Major Release 4).

More Definitions of Major Release

Major Release means a new version of Software that includes changes to the architecture and/or adds new features and functionality in addition to the original functional characteristics of the preceding Software release. These releases are usually identified by full integer changes in the numbering, such as from “7.0” to “8.0,” but may be identified by the industry as a major release without the accompanying integer change.
Major Release means a release of Software that provides additional Software features and/or functions. Major Releases are designated by Cisco as a change in the ones digit of the Software version number [(x).x.x].
