Date of Diagnosis definition
Date of Diagnosis means the date on which a Specialist diagnoses the Insured Person with one of the Covered Conditions or one of the AdvanceCare Benefit Conditions.
Date of Diagnosis is the date on which the Specialist first certifies the Diagnosis of any of the Critical Illness based on confirmatory investigations including, but not limited to, clinical, radiological, histological and laboratory evidence. Notwithstanding the above definition of Date of Diagnosis, if the Insured Event requires a surgical procedure to be performed and the date of such surgery shall be the Date of Diagnosis of the Critical Illness provided the surgical procedure must be the usual treatment for the condition and be medically necessary.
Date of Diagnosis means the date on which a Specialist first diagnosed the Insured Person with one (1) of the covered Critical Illness conditions. The date of diagnosis must be after the Effective Date of Individual Insurance or date of most recent Reinstatement and while the policy and group/association is in force.
Examples of Date of Diagnosis in a sentence
A claim shall be admissible under this Section if the Insured Person loses his job within 12 months from the Date of Diagnosis of a covered Critical Illness payable under SECTION 2 - CRITICAL ILLNESS or the date of Accident leading to the Permanent Total Disablement payable under SECTION 1- PERSONAL ACCIDENT - subject to the policy being in force at the time of unemployment.
In the event of a claim arising out of an Insured Event covered under this Section, the Insured Event as described above shall be intimated to the Company within 30 (thirty) days from the Date of Diagnosis of the Illness, date of Surgical Procedure or date of occurrence of the Insured Event as the case may be.
