CDO Securities definition

CDO Securities means debt securities, equity securities or composite or combination securities (i.e. securities consisting of a combination of debt and equity securities that are issued in effect as a unit), including synthetic securities that provide synthetic credit exposure to debt securities, equity securities or composite or combination securities, that entitle the holders thereof to receive payments that (i) depend on the cash flow from a portfolio consisting primarily of ownership interests in debt securities, corporate loans or asset-backed securities or (ii) are subject to losses owing to credit events (howsoever defined) under credit derivative transactions with respect to debt securities, corporate loans or asset-backed securities.
CDO Securities means any Corporate Bond Securities issued by a special purpose vehicle that entitle the holders thereof to receive payments that depend primarily on cash flow from, or proceeds upon the sale of, a pool of bank loans or high yield securities.
CDO Securities has the meaning set forth in the Collateral Valuation Schedule.

For purposes of the Investment Criteria, CDO Securities will(x) exclude (i) CBO Securities, (ii) CLO Securities, (iii) CDO Squared Securities, (iv) Trust Preferred CDO Securities, (v) Market Value CDO Securities, (vi) Emerging Market CDO Securities, (vii) Hedge Fund CDO Securities, (viii) Private Equity CDO Securities, (ix) Black Box CDO Securities and (x) Bespoke CDO Securities and (y) include Synthetic CDO Securities.
