Basic Service definition

Basic Service. As defined in M.G.L. c. 164, § 1 and in orders of the Department, as amended or promulgated, as the case may be, from time to time. Business Day – Any day between the period of 8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Prevailing Time, except Saturday, Sunday and any day which is a legal holiday or a day on which federal banking institutions in Boston, Massachusetts are authorized by law to close. Change in Law – As used herein, means any of the following:
Basic Service means any service tier that includes the retransmission of local television broadcast Signals and any equipment or installation used in connection with Basic Service.
Basic Service means the service elements, as specified in Decision 96-10-066 (Appendix B, Part 4) and as modified from time to time by the Commission, that a provider of local exchange service must offer to each residential customer who requests local exchange service from the provider.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, Competitive Supplier shall be authorized to supply All-Requirements Power Supply only to Participating Consumers, and the Local Distributor will continue to have the right and obligation to supply electricity to Eligible Consumers who opt-out of the Program and remain on, or return to, Basic Service, until changes in law, regulation or policy may allow otherwise.

  • The Competitive Supplier may terminate service to a Participating Consumer and return such consumer to Basic Service in the event that the consumer fails to pay to Competitive Supplier amounts past-due greater than sixty (60) days.

  • And lastly, eligible consumers may opt-out of the Program, and select Basic Service or power supply from any other Competitive Supplier they wish at any time before or following their enrollment in the Town’s Program.

Basic Service is the level of programming service which includes, at a minimum, all Broadcast Channels, all PEG SD Access Channels required in this Franchise, and any additional Programming added by the Grantee, and is made available to all Cable Services Subscribers in the Franchise Area.
