Addict means a person who habitually uses a controlled substance
Translation means a translation into a language or, where appropriate, a transliteration into an alphabet or character set, accepted by the Office;
Central Register has the meaning specified in Section 3.05.
Registry means, in relation to each Vessel, the office of the registrar, commissioner or representative of the Flag State, who is duly empowered to register such Vessel, the relevant Owner’s title thereto and the relevant Mortgage under the laws and flag of the Flag State;
Central registry means the system maintained at the department that is used to keep a record of all reports filed with the department under this act in which relevant and accurate evidence of child abuse or child neglect is found to exist.
Abstract means a written or electronic summary of all matters of record affecting title to a specific parcel of real estate prepared in accordance with abstract minimum standards adopted by the division, provided however, that for nonpurchase transactions, “abstract” may also mean a written or electronic short-form summary setting forth the titleholders, liens, and encumbrances in accordance with guidelines adopted by the division.
Translucent means a substance that allows light to pass through, but does not allow an object or person to be seen through the substance.
Constitution means the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996;
Sealed Source and Device Registry means the national registry that contains all the registration certificates, generated by both NRC and the Agreement States, that summarize the radiation safety information for the sealed sources and devices and describe the licensing and use conditions approved for the product.
Register has the meaning specified in Section 10.06(c).
Commerce means as defined in Section 4 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, 15 U.S.C. § 44.
Place of public accommodation means any building or structure in which goods are supplied or services performed, or in which the trade of the general public is solicited.
Registered lobbyist means a person registered under Title 36, Chapter 11,
International Register means the official collection of data concerning international registrations maintained by the International Bureau, which data the Agreement, the Protocol or the Regulations require or permit to be recorded, irrespective of the medium in which such data are stored;
pseudonymisation means the processing of personal data in such a manner that the personal data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information, provided that such additional information is kept separately and is subject to technical and organisational measures to ensure that the personal data are not attributed to an identified or identifiable natural person;
Official record means the record prepared and maintained by the department for each offender and juvenile received into the physical care and custody of the department. The record shall include, but is not limited to, written, printed, or electronic materials, documents, or data pertaining to services, programs, and all other official actions performed on behalf of that offender or juvenile. These records are identified by the same offender or juvenile name as received on the commitment order, assigned a department number as an identifier, and compiled and maintained as part of an offender/juvenile packet.
Submittal Register means a list provided by Contractor of all items to be furnished for review and approval by A/E and Owner and as identified in the Contract Documents including anticipated sequence and submittal dates.
Registered User means a person who is for the time being registered as such under section 49;
Extreme Vetting means data mining, threat modeling, predictive risk analysis, or other similar services." Extreme Vetting does not include:
Requesting state means a state which invokes the procedures of the compact to secure the undertaking or intensification of measures to control or eradicate 1 or more pests within 1 or more other states.

registered land means land in England or Wales, title to which is registered at H.M. Land Registry;
Adaptation means a work based upon the Work, or upon the Work and other pre-existing works, such as a translation, adaptation, derivative work, arrangement of music or other alterations of a literary or artistic work, or phonogram or performance and includes cinematographic adaptations or any other form in which the Work may be recast, transformed, or adapted including in any form recognizably derived from the original, except that a work that constitutes a Collection will not be considered an Adaptation for the purpose of this License. For the avoidance of doubt, where the Work is a musical work, performance or phonogram, the synchronization of the Work in timed-relation with a moving image ("synching") will be considered an Adaptation for the purpose of this License.
Manuscript in relation to a work, means the original document embodying the work whether written by hand or not;
Memorandum means the memorandum of association of the Company.
Parliament means Parliament of the Republic of South Africa as set out in Chapter Four of the Constitution.
