Nevada SPCA operates a no-kill animal shelter, promotes humane education, and challenges people to be the best possible guardians for the companion animals in their care. Nevada SPCA works to achieve our adoption goals by treating each animal as an individual, with a name instead of a number. We strive to match each rescued animal with foster parents by personality and lifestyle in order to have the best chance to find a forever home. Our foster parents are an essential part of this effort.

CAR has temporary custody and care of animals rescued and CAR desires to provide a supportive, healthy, and safe environment for each animal in its custody and care; A veterinarian has provided the animal with necessary basic vaccinations. CAR has a reasonable expectation that the animal has been or will be checked by a vet and presumed healthy but depending on the age of the animal all vaccines may not be up to date and additional precautions are necessary. I Addition due to the nature of rescue the history of the animal is often unknown and CAR suggests isolating new fosters for several days to ensure no cross contamination perhaps even specifically calling out the incubation period for Parvo. CAR will pay for required veterinary expenses, CAR will provide leash and collar, food and crate if needed.
