In as much as the Administration and the teaching staff at UNIS, as well as the chaperones for this trip, will be assuming the supervisory responsibilities of your child on a trip away from school, we feel it is important that the student and the parents/guardians fully understand the rules which govern such trips. It is our feeling that a trip is a continuation of the school day and as such, students participating are subject to the rules and regulations that govern our school while they are on campus. Because the students will be representing UNIS, and because their conduct, behavior and safety is our responsibility, we have established the following additional guidelines which must be adhered to while they are away from home:

The positive impact of your high behavioral standards will add much to the value and enjoyment of your travels. Students are expected to refrain from engaging in any activity that undermines the Statement of Faith or is contrary to the standards, principles, and regulations of the Bear Creek community. Furthermore, if students have knowledge of an activity or action that fails to meet the standards of this Honor Code and the Guiding Principles, they will hold those around them accountable. If the student chooses not to adhere to the above conditions, and does not cooperate with chaperones, he or she will be sent home immediately at the parents’ expense.
