Whenever the term. District" is used, it shall mean the Board of Education of the Livonia Public Schools School District and shall include its designee upon whom the Board has conferred authority to act in its place and stead.
Whenever the term. Association representative(s)" is used, it shall mean the person(s) designated by the Association to represent an individual or group of employees, including the MEA Representative.
Whenever the term. Director" is used, it shall mean the Director/Assistant Superintendent in charge of human resources covered by this Agreement.
Whenever the term. Employee" appears in this Agreement, it shall be construed to mean those persons included within the bargaining unit defined in Section 2.01.
Whenever the term working" days is used in this Agreement, it shall be considered to be Monday through Friday, inclusive.
Whenever the term full-time employee" is used it shall mean those paraprofessionals who work six (6) hours or more per day.
Whenever the term. “or its foreign currency equivalent” is used in this Agreement, it shall be deemed to refer to such foreign currency equivalent (i) as calculated as of the date of delivery of notice of a Direct Claim or Third Party Claim under Article 9 or (ii) otherwise as calculated as at the date of this Agreement.
Whenever the term. “Employee” is used in this Agreement, it shall mean only those persons in the bargaining unit as set forth in Section 1 of this Article and no others.
Whenever the term. Standard Work Day" is used in this Agreement, it shall mean seven and one-half (7 ½) hours for the Office, Clerical and Switchboard employees whose positions were certified by the CLRB on May 16, 1986, and eight (8) hours for all other employees.
