Wheeling Sample Clauses
The Wheeling clause defines the terms under which one party may transmit electricity across another party's transmission network. In practice, this clause outlines the conditions, fees, and responsibilities associated with using a third party's infrastructure to move electricity from a generator to an end user or another grid. For example, it may specify scheduling requirements, loss allocations, and payment obligations for the use of the transmission system. The core function of the Wheeling clause is to facilitate the efficient and regulated transfer of electricity across interconnected networks, ensuring all parties understand their rights and obligations and reducing disputes over access and costs.

If, subsequent to such consent, wheeling adversely affects the Member Agency’s service to its then existing retail customers or reasonably expected future retail customers within the next five (5) years, the Member Agency giving consent may give notice to the parties to terminate the wheeling arrangement. After receipt of such notice the Member Agency requiring connection shall be responsible for the costs of removing the wheeling connection and constructing new connection facilities to replace the wheeling connection within a reasonable time after such notice that allows for planning, funding, and construction of the new connection facilities.
