UNION PLANS Sample Clauses
The UNION PLANS clause defines the obligations and procedures related to employee benefit plans that are governed by a labor union agreement. It typically outlines the employer’s responsibilities for making contributions to union-sponsored health, retirement, or welfare plans on behalf of covered employees. For example, it may specify the frequency and method of payments, reporting requirements, and the types of benefits provided. The core function of this clause is to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and to clarify the parties’ duties regarding union benefit plans, thereby reducing the risk of disputes or legal violations.
