Unfortunately. HIV prevention models typically target individual behavior (Xxxxx, 1995; Xxxxx & Raj, 2000; Xxxxxx, 1996; Xxxxxx, 2000; Xxxxxx, et al., 1999; Painter, 2001; Xxxxxxxx, et al., 1998) although sexual decision-making and behavior is dependent upon mutual agreement or one person overpowering the other. The most common supportive influence reported by men and women, regardless of serostatus, was the wife‟s assertiveness to control her sexual environment and prevent unprotected sex from occurring. Examples of female assertiveness included the woman reminding the husband to use a male condom, reaching for the male condom, putting the male condom on her husband, physically removing herself from a situation, and using a female condom. The acceptance for female assertiveness in the context of HIV prevention seems to be an important social norm necessary for this unique population. Addressing social and peer norms of serodiscordant couples may be less of changing norms than establishing new ones. For examples, key social norms we identified included the husband having final say when demanding unprotected sex, acceptance of forced unprotected sex, and excessive alcohol use. All of these norms are indicative of the broader Zambian culture although the couples, with their serodiscordant status, were no longer indicative of the broader Zambian culture. Rather, they are serodiscordant couples at high-risk for HIV transmission facing ongoing emotional, physical, sexual, social, and relationship challenges (Kalichman, Xxxxx, Xxxx, & Xxxxxx, 0000; Persson & Xxxxxxxx, 2008; Xxxxxx, et al., 2003). In this context, efforts to establish serostatus-specific social and peer norms need greater attention particularly as the most successful and longest lasting behavioral interventions draw upon peer pressure and addressing group norms (Xxxxxxxxx & Xxxxxxxxxx, 1994; Xxxxxxxxx et al., 2002). Similar to what our respondents termed „refresher courses‟ (by couple, gender- matched groups, or a group of couples), such efforts could help couples develop problem- solving strategies and a safer sex hierarchy through peer discussion and social reinforcement, thus potentially creating serostatus-specific norms. Social support, peer support, and partner‟s perceptions of support have been shown to increase condom use and reduce risk behavior particularly among steady partners (Darbes & Xxxxx, 2005; Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxx, Xxxxx, & Xxxxx, 2002; Xxxxxx, et al., 2006; Xxxxxxx, et al., 2002). Unfortunately this process would not work in this form for the convolutional filters described here. These filters of course commute as is required by this method, but an eavesdropper Eve listening on all three exchanges has two opportunities to eavesdrop. Exchange 1 and exchange 2 would in principle allow Xxx to recover fB by applying the discrete Xxxxxx-Xxxx method of equation (5) to design an inverse filter (m fA)−1 and applying it to m fA fB, yielding filter fB. Applying an inverse to this for exchange 3 then gives the message m without Xxxxx or Xxx realising. ∗
Unfortunately the arrangement for defendant's lagoons and soil absorption failed as a means to change the unpleasant nature of the sewage drained from the barn. Indeed the expert witnesses called by the opposing parties, Xx. Xxxxxxxx for the plaintiffs and Xx. Xxxxxxx for the defendant, were in agreement that, given the size of the operation, defendant's lagoon system could not be effective for that purpose, and that to introduce the necessary improvements to make it operational to that end would in effect require reconstruction of the hog farm. And see, too, inadequacies of the lagoon system noted in the reports written by Xx. Xxxxxxxx himself, Ex. 20, the Public Health Inspector Yourchek, Ex. 19, the provincial Agricultural Engineer Xxxxx, Ex. 26, and by the University of Illinois College of. Agriculture, Ex. 21. Whatever favourable comments might be wrung from Xx. Xxxxxxx'x somewhat neutral report, Ex. 37, disappeared with his viva voce evidence before me.

Unfortunately meanwhile, as we had foreseen, unemployment has continued to grow, exceeding 20%. The General Strike of 29 September and the announcement of a possible repeat as well as the proximity of the municipal and regional elections led to a more favourable scenario for negotiation which we had not expected when labour re- form was first raised.” The above is in line with the reflections made by Professor Baylos in this extraor- dinary issue of the Revista de Estudios analysing, amongst other things, the context in which this process of negotiation took place: “In this offensive context because of what can be called the ‘internal devaluation’ of wages and of collective trade union power in the regulation of working condi- tions, the reform of the pensions system basically announced that the next target was to be the Social Security model as the main manifestation of the Social State clause in our Constitution. The trade union reaction to this plan was therefore to call a second general strike. The trade union confederation was then able to force a process of negotiation in which other very relevant matters were included such as reform of collective bargaining, more detailed regulation of redundancy schemes and active employment policies”. Pensions undoubtedly form an essential part of the agreement but the other parts are no less relevant and, in my opinion, are of strategic importance. It must be clarified that, with the new agreement, retirement at 67 is neither universal nor compulsory Pensions In the field of pensions, the reforms agreed on have substantially changed the government’s initial proposals and now, importantly, the public distribution system has been protected as the single pensions model. Spain’s pensions system has proved to be of high quality and this can be seen in the lower weight held by complementary pensions systems in Spain in comparison with other countries in Europe and beyond. It is this that leads the financial sector to systematically question the viability of the Spanish public pensions system be- cause only by weakening it can new business areas be opened up. This important matter played a role in a process that was subject to all sorts of pressures, which could be summarised as follows: Better to have a reform without an agreement than an agreement without a reform. This view has a very clear aim: to legally establish a mixed pensions system in which complementary pensions systems end up being substitutive, but this has been made im...
Unfortunately at A-Spire Players', due to our small stage and venue we've found that we can't support the large productions necessary to employ all of our willing members at the same time; so consequently, we've taken an alternate route. Instead of having one large, centralized production, we've found that by having a number of smaller concurrent productions enables us to ensure the maximum number of our members can be involved at the same time.
