Training activities should align to a current, IPP developed through an annual IPPW and should reflect efforts to address training capabilities gaps. In addition to training activities aligned to and addressed in the IPP, all EMPG funded personnel must complete the following training requirements and record proof of completion: • NIMS Training, Independent Study (IS)-100 (any version), IS-200 (any version), IS- 700 (any version), and IS-800 (any version), and Professional Development Series (PDS); or Emergency Management Professionals Program (EMPP) Basic Academy. Exercises play a vital role in national preparedness by enables whole community stakeholders to test and validate plans and capabilities and identify both capability gaps and areas for improvement. Exercises also test capabilities, familiarize emergency management personnel with role and responsibilities, xxxxxx meaningful interaction and communication across organizations. Exercises bring together and strengthen the whole community in its efforts to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from all hazards.

Training and Exercise. Training on roles and responsibilities for all relevant partner agencies will occur following the adoption of the finalized Washington State Disaster Medical Coordination Center Agreement. Exercises including tabletops and functional will occur with Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, local DMCCs, hospitals, regional healthcare coalitions, DOH, WA State EMD, and other relevant partners. As appropriate the WA State DMCC will be incorporated into and exercised during larger state-level exercises.

Training and Exercise. SCEM will assist Participating Jurisdictions to develop, maintain, or expand their emergency management capabilities. The prioritized capabilities to train and exercise are operational coordination, operational communications, situational assessment, logistics, public information, and planning.
