The "Tenured" clause defines the conditions under which an individual, typically an employee or academic, attains a status of permanent or long-term employment. Tenured. Full-time annually-contracted faculty who are appointed for an indefinite period of time and whose appointment may be revoked only for sufficient cause and by due process as defined by the laws of the State of Washington and this Agreement. With the approval of the Vice President, a tenured faculty member may work less than a full load and be paid his/her regular salary prorated. The Association will be informed of all requests for a reduced load and the disposition of those requests.
Tenured. All tenured teachers will receive a written evaluation at least once (1) every two (2) years or more often as deemed necessary by the teacher or his/her Supervisors. This written evaluation will become part of the permanent file of the teacher.
Tenured. A tenured appointment is one which continues subject only to Articles 19, 21 and 28 or retirement according to the requirements of the pension plan. In the case of academic staff members, a tenured appointment shall be as set out in Article 19.10.3.
Tenured. A minimum of one (1) formal observation and evaluation must be completed every four (4) years. A formal observation shall last a minimum of thirty (30) consecutive minutes. Tenured. Tenured psychologists have one evaluation meeting by the end of the first week in May. Tenured psychologists are evaluated every other year unless they are on remediation.
Tenured teachers, assuming program, qualification demands, certification and the ability to perform work are prime criteria. In the case of teachers employed with grant funds previous experience will be used as additional prime criteria. These factors being equal, seniority shall prevail.
