Summative Evaluation Conference. By the last teacher work day, the evaluator shall hold a summative evaluation conference to discuss the teacher’s final evaluation rating and identify areas of focus for the following year.
Summative Evaluation Conference. Per Education Code 44663, the summative evaluation conference includes review of the written summative evaluation, including formal and informal observations, and progress toward goals. The summative evaluation conference shall occur not later than the last school day scheduled on the school calendar adopted by the governing board for the school year in which the evaluation takes place.
Summative Evaluation Conference. 2 The summative evaluation conference shall be for the purpose of reviewing with the 3 teacher all pertinent evaluative data gathered during the cycle. The evaluator is 4 responsible for completing a summative evaluation report, a copy of which is given to 5 the teacher at least sixty (60) days prior to the last teaching day. A summative 6 evaluation conference shall be mutually scheduled between the teacher and the 7 evaluator. Such conference may occur during the second observation conference. The 8 teacher has the right to postpone the summative evaluation conference to a mutually 9 acceptable date within ten (10) work days. It is the teacher’s responsibility to provide 10 the evaluator with any data he or she wishes to be considered in the summative 11 evaluation report, allowing sufficient time for the evaluator’s consideration prior to 12 drafting the report. 13 14 Evaluation of a teacher shall not be based upon any undocumented information or 15 materials which have been received by the evaluator but not been shared with the 16 teacher. 18 At the conclusion of the summative conference, the teacher may, within seven (7) 19 working days, file a written response which would be attached to the summative 20 evaluation report and be included in the teacher’s personnel file. All formative and 21 summative evaluation reports and attached teacher comments are placed in the 22 employee’s personnel file. This data is confidential. 23
Summative Evaluation Conference. All information to be used in the summative evaluation shall be written and presented to the teacher prior to the summative evaluation conference. In addition to formal observations, the evaluation may include informal observations and other information gleaned by the evaluator in the course of day-to-day activities. The teacher shall have the option of meeting all administrators involved in the composition of the summative evaluation.
Summative Evaluation Conference. The teacher and supervising administrator will have a Summative Evaluation Conference in the spring, no later than June 1, to review the results of the teacher’s Professional Growth Plan. The teacher will provide a list of the actual products developed as part of the goal accomplishment. The teacher will bring the completed Summative Evaluation Form (page 55) to this conference for approval and signature. Professional Log (optional) Teachers in Track II are encouraged to use the Professional Log (page 56) to record their professional development experiences and other professional contributions to their school, the district, and the profession. This document, which will be placed in the teacher’s personnel file with the Summative Evaluation Form, is optional. Major Components of Professional Growth Plan Goal(s) The goal(s) for the Professional Growth Plan should emerge from the teacher’s self-assessment of the domains, components and elements of the Framework for Professional Practice (pages 4- 34). Likewise, the goal(s) should reflect building and/or district goals that result in the continuous improvement of student learning. The goals must be directly linked to the Framework for Professional Practice through the completion of the Professional Growth Plan on page 54. Additional guidelines for goal setting are provided in Appendix A (pages 69-71). In the Track II process, teachers are encouraged to work in a way that best matches the goal(s) they establish for their Professional Growth Plan. They can work individually or with their grade-level colleagues, their department colleagues, or any other combination of faculty members. Teachers are encouraged to use a variety of activities, strategies, resources, and professional development to accomplish their goal(s) and to choose specific indicators of progress to measure their successful accomplishment of the goal(s). These components are outlined on the Professional Growth Plan (page 54).
Summative Evaluation Conference. The teacher and the evaluator shall mutually agree to a conference to discuss the summative evaluation by March 1. Following the summative-evaluation conference, the teacher shall sign a copy of the evaluation report prepared by the evaluator. In no case shall the teacher’s signature be construed to mean that he/she necessarily agrees with the contents of the evaluation only that they have been discussed. A teacher may submit additional comments to the written evaluation if he/she so desires within five (5) school days of the summative- evaluation conference. All written evaluations and the teacher’s comments are to be placed in the teacher’s personnel file. A copy of the response will be provided to the supervisor. The evaluator will sign the response acknowledging that he/she read the material.
Summative Evaluation Conference. A formal meeting scheduled for the unit member and the evaluator for the purpose of evaluating progress toward achievement of standards and establishing the evaluator’s recommendations.
Summative Evaluation Conference. The conference between the evaluator and the unit member which occurs after all formal observations and walkthroughs have been completed for the year. At this conference, which shall take place not later than May 10th, the evaluator will share the written evaluation summary with the unit member.
Summative Evaluation Conference a. After completion of the required observations and any required remediation and/or probation procedure, the evaluator shall complete a final evaluation. It will include a rating for each criterion, a student growth rating, and an overall summative performance rating.
Summative Evaluation Conference. A). After completing all observation requirements for the evaluation cycle, the teacher and evaluator will schedule a date for the submission of evidence. The summative evaluation conference will take place no later than seven (7) school days after the submission of evidence date. The evaluation conference may coincide with the formal observation post-conference only if agreed upon by both the teacher and evaluator. Evaluator will set dates and notify teacher of evidence submission and summative conference if dates cannot be mutually agreed upon.
