Student Help. Students shall be used for training and/or to improve certain serv- ices, but at no time will they be used to replace or reduce the hours of bargaining unit employees.
Student Help. The Company shall have the right to employ students during the summer months as attendants, in order to fa- cilitate vacation shortages of employees. and for gen- eral seasonal clean-up. Such students shall be hired for a period not to exceed four months, and will not be hired if anyone is on lay-off. Students will not be gov- erned by the Collective Agreement as to seniority rights or benefits, nor will they be given credit toward acquir- ing seniority rights. Students will be paid two dollars over Ontario minimum wage for students plus COLA and will be required to pay per CAW National Constitution per monthly union dues. The Union agrees to indemnify and save the Company harmless in the event that an employee shall make other claims against the Company a result of this deduc- tion from the employees wages pursuant to the terms of this memorandum. -Janitor There will be on each shift and they will rotate. The Company may have the begin work one half hour prior to the beginning of normal work hours and end work one half hour before the end of normal work hours. It is the janitor’s duty to carry out primarily janitorial services. In case the janitor is absent for one full day or more, the Company will temporarily transfer another employee to the janitor’s job. The Company will have a janitor on any shift when there is thirteen (13) or more employees. Due to the reduced workload on the third shift the jani- tor may be reassigned to the attendant classification within the plant on this shift after completing his janitorial duties. The temporary transfer twenty day limited will not apply to this classification on the third shift. Maintenance men will not be expected to perform the janitor’s duties. However, should the janitor be absent for less than a day, maintenance personnel may be required to perform the janitor’s roll in cleaning dust collectors and filling propane tanks.
Student Help. 23.1 It is agreed that between the dates of May 1st and Labour Day, as well as December 1st to December 23rd inclusive, Student Help may be hired under the following provisions:
Student Help. It is agreed and understood that extra help shall be provided to elementary age students as needed. Provisions shall be made by all elementary bargaining unit members (K-5) to provide the same. The building principal and parent(s)/guardian(s) may request and have extra help provided to a student(s). The teacher providing the help will determine the time and duration of the help. Sufficient flexibility will be permitted to allow for fulfilling other school-related and professional obligations.

Rate of pay - $2.00 less than operator rate for production work.

Student Help. On Monday-Thursday middle school (6-8) bargaining unit members will be available in their classroom or designated area until fifteen (15) minutes after dismissal. If students stay for extra help, the bargaining unit member will stay at least thirty (30) minutes. If no students return at or before fifteen (15) minutes after dismissal, the bargaining unit member may leave fifteen (15) minutes after dismissal.
Student Help. Employees shall have the right to accept or reject the assignment of student help. When an employee rejects the assignment of student help the Union and the District will meet to seek resolution.
