Stripping. THE SECOND PARAGRAPH IS CHANGED TO: Strip vegetation and underlying soil to a depth of 4 to 6 inches below the existing ground surface. Confirm the thickness of stripping with the RE based on field conditions. Temporarily store in stockpiles, as specified in 202.03.03.B, stripped material including excess that is determined suitable for the future use of the Department. The Department will sample and analyze stripped material in stockpiles to determine suitability for use as topsoil. Reuse or dispose of unsuitable stripped material as specified in 202.03.03.C. THE FOLLOWING IS ADDED:
Stripping. Areas on which compacted fill is to be placed and areas of excavations from which material for fill is to be extracted, including borrow areas, shall be stripped of top soil containing organic or otherwise deleterious and objectionable matter to a depth of at least 15 cm. or to such greater depth as may be determined by the Engineer. The stripped soil shall be stored in separate dumps for subsequent re-use in covering the slopes of embankments or the borrow areas after excavation therein has been finished, or shall be otherwise disposed of as directed. Under no circumstances shall such stripped material be used as compacted fill. Stripping shall not be carried out unless the Contractor is able to proceed immediately with the further earthworks upon the stripped areas. Overstripping shall be backfilled and compacted, at the Contractor’s own expense, to the satisfaction of the Engineer. Stripping shall be measured in cubic metres, computed by multiplying the area stripped by the depth of stripping. The unit rate shall include for all excavation, stacking-re-spreading and running excess to spoil. No stripping shall be carried out without prior written approval of the Engineer’s Representative and only such areas approved or ordered to be stripped shall be measured and paid for. Unless otherwise specified, stripping of borrow areas shall not be measured for payment and the cost of such stripping shall be deemed to be included by the Contractor in his unit rates for earthwork in the Bill of Quantities.
Stripping. All topsoil and other organic materials shall be stripped from the areas to be graded before starting earthwork. Topsoil shall be placed in a temporary stockpile for later recovery and use for landscaping the site. The stockpile shall be provided with temporary erosion control facilities. Unused materials shall be disposed of offsite unless approved by the Purchaser.
Stripping. Contractor shall completely remove all dirt, old wax and other foreign substances to return the floor to its original surface. Contractor shall make every effort to prevent streaking or bleaching of floor surface, and shall do so in compliance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Stripping. Stripping refers to the point in time where a casting can be removed from the bed and stored for further curing at the casting facility. There is no minimum time requirement. Test 3 cylinders, 1 cylinder from each of the 3 groups of cylinders (i.e. 1A, 2A, 3A) prior to stripping. Stripping strength is attained when the average compressive strength of the 3 tested cylinders equals or exceeds 80% of the specified minimum 28-day strength and no more than 1 cylinder in the tested set has a compressive strength which is below the 80% threshold by no more than 300 psi. If the above conditions are not met, a minimum of 1 hour must pass before a second cylinder from each of the same 3 groups is tested (i.e. 1B, 2B, 3B).
Stripping. Stripping is defined as the complete (as is practicable removal of the wax/finish applied to non-carpeted floor. Stripping may be accomplished by either manual or mechanized application of an approved stripping agent. Standard: When properly accomplished a stripped floor will be completely free of all dirt, stains, deposits, wax, finish, water and cleaning solution, and will be ready for the re-application of sealer and floor finish. All splash evidence on baseboards and furniture/fixtures will be removed.
Stripping. Should CUSTOMER request to empty the tank and pipeline system other than for termination of this Agreement, WESTWAY shall charge CUSTOMER per the "Additional Services" paragraph for this operation.
Stripping. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, Company will have the right to license any series of Children’s Programming debuting on the Block to any cable or satellite programming service, provided that no episodes of any series of Children’s Programming debuting on the Block may be licensed before the earlier of (i) the transmission by The CW of twenty-six (26) episodes of such series debuting on the Block, or (ii) six (6) months after the debut of such series on the Block. Any such license of any series of Children’s Programming debuting on the Block shall provide that no episodes of such series may be transmitted between midnight Friday and noon Sunday. For the avoidance of doubt, the foregoing limitations on stripping shall not apply to any series of Children’s Programming that is broadcast on the Block during the Term but that did not debut on the Block. Company shall consult in good faith with The CW with respect to the stripping of any series of Children’s Programming on the Block on any cable or satellite programming service, which stripping is scheduled to begin prior to the end of the Broadcast Year in which the first episodes of such series debuted on the Block.
Stripping. If the motor and/or pump stator is to be rewound, the opposite end is cut off the stator. Iron or steel frames shall be burned out using a controlled oven; temperature not to exceed 750 degree F. Aluminum frames shall be removed before burnout. Heating of the laminations shall be controlled to avoid distortion and/or damage. Clean core iron and slots. Inspect stator core. Repair or replace damaged laminations.
Stripping. In normal circumstances and where ordinary Portland cement is used, form work may be struck after expiry of the following periods:(a)Sides of walls columns and vertical faces of beams 24 to 48 hours.(b)Beam soffits (Props left under) 7 days.(c)Removal of props for slabs - (i) Slabs spanning upto 4.5 m. 7 days. (ii) Slabs spanning over 4.5 m. 14 days.(d)Removal of props to beams and Arches (i) Spanning upto 6 m. 14 days.(ii) Spanning over 6 m. 21 Days. The Engineer-in-charge shall be informed in advance by the Contractor of his intention to strike the formwork. While fixing the time for removal of formwork, due consideration shall be given to local conditions, character of the structure, the weather and other condition that influence the setting of concrete and of the materials used in the mix. In normal circumstances (generally where temperature are above 20Degree) and where ordinary concrete is used, forms may be struck after expiry of periods specified in IS 456:2000 11.3.1 page 25 for respective item of formwork or mentioned above. All formwork shall be removed without causing any shock or vibration as would damage the concrete. Before the soffit and struts are removed, the concrete surface shall be gradually exposed, where necessary in order to ascertain that the concrete has sufficiently hardened. Centering shall be gradually and uniformly lowered in such manner as to permit the concrete to take stress due to its own weight uniformly and gradually. Where internal metal ties are permitted, they or their removable parts shall be extracted without causing any damage to the concrete and remaining holes filled with mortar. No permanently embedded metal part shall have less than 25 mm covers to the finished concrete surface. Where it is intended to re-use the formwork, it shall be cleaned and made good to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in- charge. After removal of formwork and shuttering the Engineer-in-charge shall inspect the work and satisfy by random checks that concrete produced is of good quality. The number of props left under, their sizes and disposition shall be such as to be able to safely carry the full load of the slab, beam or arch as the case may be together with any live load likely to occur during curing or further construction. Immediately after the removal of forms, all exposed bolts etc. passing through the cement concrete member and used for shuttering or any other purpose shall be cut inside the cement concrete member to a depth of at ...
