The Board agrees to abide by the Education Act, the Employment Standards Act, the Labour Relations Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Ontario Human Rights Code and any other prevailing statutes governing education and employment in Ontario, and all regulations thereunder, except as provided herein.

STATUTORY RESPONSIBILITIES. 17.1 The Councils carrying out of their statutory duties, powers, duties, rights and obligations shall not be fettered or otherwise affected by the terms of this Agreement; and the performance of their statutory duties in whatsoever capacity shall not be capable of being construed as a breach by the Councils of any of their obligations under this Agreement.
